As humans, I believe our past experiences have shaped who we have become, unconsciously informing the decisions we make, the relationships we enter, and the way we feel and interact with the world around us. In some instances, this can cause individuals to become stuck in unhealthy relationship patterns, experience low self-worth, and struggle to participate in a fulfilling life.
I believe counseling can help individuals gain awareness and identify feelings to eliminate and/or reduce the severity of symptoms. Additionally, therapeutic relationships can help identify and change relationship patterns, with the overall goal of experiencing a satisfying life.
I work through a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy lens, with an emphasis on Attachment Counseling. However, I believe each individual who enters into counseling has walked a journey unique to them and deserves an integrated and individualized approach to counseling.
I work with individuals ages 12 and up who have experienced trauma, have body image concerns, are experiencing symptoms of anxiety or low self-worth, depression, and individuals who struggle with regulating their emotions.
I work with individuals, couples, and groups. I currently have availability in the evenings and on weekends.
I am under the supervision of Jon Soileau at Soileau Partners Psychotherapy in Downtown Kansas City, Missouri, just minutes from Parkville
